Slain Pakistani Catholic praised on anniversary of his deathMarch 02, 2012
Archbishop Joseph Coutts of Karachi paid homage to the slain Pakistani Catholic leader Shahbaz Bhatti on the anniversary of his death March 2. The archbishop told participants in a commemorative meeting that Bhatti “lives in Christ.” More than 3,000 people joined in the tribute to the Christian activist.
In London another tribute was held, led by Cardinal Keith O’Brien of Edinburgh, who said that he hoped the Church will eventually open a cause for Bhatti’s beatification.
